Job Description
Bury Council is seeking a qualified Children’s Social Worker to join the Family Safeguarding team on a temporary basis. Based at 3 Knowsley Place, Duke Street, Bury (BL9 0EJ), this role runs from 29 June to 31 December 2026 at £38 per hour.
The role sits within Bury’s Family Safeguarding service and requires a social worker with relevant children’s safeguarding experience. A full 5-year employment history reference check will be carried out, with all gaps accounted for, and relevant qualifications verified against the job description and person specification.
This vacancy is sourced via the GM Collaboration framework through XMS. Suppliers must complete the DfE Recommendation Compliance Questions on the Details tab and attach the completed file to the candidate record prior to submission — applications that do not pass these questions will not be progressed.
