May 22, 2026
£27 - £37 / hour

Job Description

Lincolnshire County Council is seeking an experienced LADO (Local Authority Designated Officer) for a locum assignment based in Lincoln (LN1 1YL), available from 8 June 2026. The rate is £27.17–£36.83 per hour.

In this role you will be responsible for managing allegations against individuals who work or volunteer with children, including those in positions of inherent authority. You will liaise with employers to ensure children are safeguarded and work closely with police, children’s social care, employers, and other professionals and regulatory bodies to assess risk. The LADO does not conduct investigations directly but oversees and directs them to ensure thoroughness, timeliness, and fairness, challenging delay in case progress where necessary.

The role is primarily remote but requires attendance at the Lincoln office at least once or twice monthly to work with colleagues.

Candidates must hold a recognised social work qualification, be registered with Social Work England, and have recent LADO experience. If you meet these requirements and are available from June 2026, please get in touch.
