Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Social Worker to join a Children’s Social Care team based in Middlesbrough. This is a meaningful role where you will make a genuine difference to the lives of vulnerable children and young people across the local area.

Working within a children’s social care setting in Middlesbrough (TS1), you will carry out a range of statutory duties in line with current legislation and best practice. Whilst full role details are being finalised, the successful candidate will be expected to manage a caseload of children’s social care cases, undertake assessments, develop and review care plans, and work collaboratively with families, partner agencies, and other professionals to achieve the best outcomes for children.

You will be a qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England, with demonstrable post-qualifying experience in a children’s social care setting. A commitment to high standards of practice, reflective working, and the ability to manage a busy caseload are essential.

This role is offered on a locum basis at a rate of £34.45 per hour, with a start date of 1st May 2026. The position is based at Middlesbrough House, TS1 2RH.
