Job Description
We are seeking to recruit a Strategic Specialist to provide system leadership for short-term capacity to accelerate the design and alignment of Sunderland’s prevention model – Links for Life. This role will focus on creating a robust operational framework and a clear mobilisation roadmap for the 3-year plan already in draft. The objective of this work programme is not to lead the ongoing delivery, but to act as a strategic architect – evaluating current capacity, aligning partner workstreams, and establishing a unified system narrative. The successful candidate will leave the team in a significantly stronger position with a clear, actionable plan for the permanent team to execute. Key Responsibilities: The specialist will be responsible for producing the following strategic outputs: Rapid Review of Current Position: Assess where Sunderland currently stands in implementing the Links for Life model using data and independent evaluation already available 3 year plan: Finalise and operationalise the 3-year plan with clear milestones, resource requirements, and partner engagement. Capacity & Structure Review: A strategic evaluation of the current team and capacity, concluding in a formal proposal for a “future-state” configuration that supports long-term sustainability and taking forward plans to mobilise effectively. Key deliverables: Impact Review: Brief on current position Strategic Recommendations: Clear priorities for the next phase and final 3-year plan with clear milestones and KPIs. Capacity and team structure proposal: Outline recommendations of workforce and governance model required to deliver the 3-year plan. The agency employee wont be required to supply any equipment.
