Job Description
Semester Recruitment is seeking Support Workers for Wrexham County Borough Council’s Community Living Service (CLS), based in Chirk, Wrexham. Paying £13.26–£17.15 per hour, this is a temporary role starting 15 June 2026.
The Community Living Service provides 24-hour support to adults with disabilities living in small, shared homes within the community. These are individuals’ own homes, and Support Workers play a central role in ensuring each person is supported to live safely, comfortably and with dignity while maintaining choice, independence and control.
Key responsibilities include assisting with all aspects of daily living — personal care, communication, mobility, meal preparation, household tasks and accessing community activities. You will work in accordance with individual care plans, behaviour support plans, health action plans and risk assessments to promote wellbeing, inclusion and positive outcomes.
You will build professional relationships with the people you support, working closely with families, colleagues and external professionals. Accurate record keeping is essential, and all staff must uphold the values and professional standards required by Social Care Wales.
This is a 24/7 rota-based service requiring availability across days, evenings, weekends, nights and sleep-in shifts.
If you are a compassionate, reliable support worker with experience in adult disability services, please get in touch today.
