Job Description
Nottingham Community Housing Association (NCHA) is seeking a Support Worker to join their Care and Support service in Coalville, Leicestershire (LE67 3BZ). This is a community and project-based role paying £12.71–£16.51 per hour, starting 22 June 2026.
Working within the Homes and Wellbeing directorate, you will support individuals aged 18–25 with learning disabilities or mental health diagnoses to live as independently as possible, make informed choices, and maintain their dignity and rights.
Key responsibilities include devising and implementing individual care and support plans with risk assessments; providing personal care prompts and medication administration; key-working named service users; assisting with budgeting, cooking and domestic tasks; and supporting individuals to access work, education, leisure and community activities. The role also involves safeguarding adults and children at risk, maintaining accurate records on NCHA’s IT systems, and responding to health and safety issues.
The post operates on a rota/shift system including bank holidays, weekends, and may include night-time working and sleeping-in duties. An Enhanced DBS with barred list check is required.
