Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Family Worker to join our team, focusing on family reunification and Special Guardianship Order (SGO) conversions. This pivotal role will support children and young people to achieve permanence and stability within their family networks, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and long-term outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Work intensively with families to facilitate safe and sustainable reunification plans. Support carers and families through the SGO conversion process, providing guidance and practical assistance. Undertake comprehensive assessments and contribute to care planning in collaboration with social workers and other professionals. Deliver targeted interventions to strengthen family relationships and reduce risks. Monitor progress and provide ongoing support to ensure successful transitions. What We’re Looking For: Proven experience in family support, reunification work, or permanence planning. Strong understanding of child development, safeguarding, and statutory frameworks. Excellent communication and engagement skills with children, families, and professionals. Ability to manage complex cases and work collaboratively within a multi-agency environment.
