Job Description
We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Personal Adviser to join our Leaving Care Service. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people transitioning from care to independent adulthood.
As a Personal Adviser, you will provide practical and emotional support to young people aged 16–25 who are leaving care. You will help them develop the skills, confidence, and resilience needed to live independently and achieve their goals.
You will build positive relationships with young people, ensuring they receive the support and guidance they need in areas such as:

Accommodation and independent living

Education, employment and training

Health and wellbeing
-
Budgeting and financial management

Accessing benefits and services
-
Building support networks and community connections
You will be responsible for developing and reviewing Pathway Plans, advocating on behalf of young people, and working closely with partner agencies to ensure the best outcomes.
We are looking for someone who:

Has experience working with young people, vulnerable adults, or families.

Understands the challenges faced by care-experienced young people.

Is able to build trusting and professional relationships.

Has excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.

Can work independently whilst also contributing effectively as part of a team.

Is committed to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion.
The candidate needs to be in office bases 60% of the time
