Job Description

Kirklees Council is seeking an experienced Social Care Occupational Therapist for a six-month interim assignment based at Civic Centre 1, Huddersfield (HD1 2NF), running from 29 June to 29 November 2026.

The role is offered on a hybrid basis, requiring attendance in the office twice per week alongside community visits as required. The rate is £35–£40 per hour, dependent on qualifications and experience.

Candidates must hold HCPC registration and a recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy. Demonstrable experience in Learning Disabilities and mental health is essential, along with a sound understanding of neurodiversity and dysregulation. An Enhanced DBS check including the Barred List is required.
