Job Description

Durham County Council is seeking a Family Time Worker to support supervised family time sessions for children and their parents across County Durham, working from the Lowhills Centre in Peterlee. You will provide a safe, supportive environment for contact sessions, complete detailed observations and written recordings, and work flexibly as this is a county-wide service requiring travel between venues. A full driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance is essential. Recent experience working with children and their families is required, along with good ICT skills for recording and reporting purposes. A Level 3 childcare qualification is preferred but not essential. This is a fixed-term assignment running from September to December 2026, paying £17.24 per hour via Comensura.
