*Early Help Worker – Family Hub – #OR109540

July 29, 2026
£17 - £23 / hour

Job Description

Sefton MBC is seeking an Early Help Worker to join their Family Hub service in Seaforth, Liverpool (L21 4NB), on a temporary basis from 10 August 2026, paying £17.37–£22.68 per hour via Prism.

This is a front-line, community-facing role supporting children, young people (0–19) and their families through strengths-based, solution-focused interventions. You will manage a caseload, undertake Early Help Assessments, co-produce needs-led plans, and coordinate multi-agency support as a single point of contact for families. Home visits form a core part of the role, alongside group and 1-1 targeted activities delivered from Family Hub settings.

Key responsibilities include identifying safeguarding concerns and responding appropriately, working in partnership with health visitors, schools, early years providers, housing, and the voluntary sector, and maintaining accurate case records via IT systems. You will also support day-to-day Family Hub coordination, promote parental engagement and community resilience, and deliver evidence-based training to individuals and groups.

Candidates must be comfortable with lone working (home visits), able to travel between locality delivery points, and hold a current driving licence (car allowance payable). An enhanced DBS is required. The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.

If you have experience in early help, family support, or children’s community services and are available from August 2026, please get in touch promptly.
