We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Social Workers or Approved Mental Health Professionals to work in our Community Mental Health Teams. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone with an interest in mental health and may want to progress to AMHP practice.

You will be working in integrated CMHTs that cover a diverse demographic area. You will be working with other Health professionals’ part of the Bradford District Care Trust. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in an integrated team with a range of other health professionals. You will need to have brilliant interpersonal skills and be capable at building effective working relationships with colleagues, people who use the service and professional partners alike. You will be confident in assessing risk and in promoting risk-enablement.

You will be working with people with complex mental health needs who require input from a range of health, social care and voluntary services. We need the successful candidate to have a strong understanding of social issues that impact the lives of people with mental health needs.

Regular reflective supervision will be provided along with a corporate annual appraisal. You will undertake both care coordination and Local Authority functions. You will need to have experience of using the Care Act to assess care and support needs, recognise their strengths and consider safeguarding when s.42 concerns arise. We want to support people in their communities for as long as possible. Candidates will need to demonstrate experience of managing complex risks in community to prevent deterioration to people’s mental health.

  • A professional qualification in social work

  • Social Work England registration.

  • Post qualified experience.

  • Enhanced DBS/Update service.

  • References required for the last 5 years of employment.
