Job Description

Please be aware this is a Long Term Temporary post to start ASAP.

As a Family Help Social Worker, your focus will be to provide support to families before issues escalate to a point where more intensive social work intervention is needed.

You will be a qualified and registered social worker, with good knowledge of all childcare legislation, statutory guidance and frameworks

You will be responsible for complex decision making, being able to clearly identify levels of risks, always ensuring the safety and welfare of children and young people, using your professional judgement, critical reflection and evidence-based tools

You will be innovative and creative in using a wide range of social work interventions to minimise risk and improve outcomes, ensuring that the child/young person’s voice is heard throughout

You should be confident to build and maintain positive relationships, with excellent communication and engagement skills
