Job Description

Join a welcoming, supportive and stable front-line children’s team based in Louth, Lincolnshire, working with children and families from the point of referral through CIN, Child Protection, and Care Proceedings.

This is a varied and rewarding role in which you will complete Child and Family Assessments, work collaboratively with partner agencies including Family Help, Family Group Decision Making, and health colleagues, and carry out enquiries to ensure children are cared for safely. You will manage cases within both CIN and CP frameworks and hold experience of private and public law proceedings.

The team operates a three-weekly duty rotation: one week on duty (office-based, receiving referrals and new allocations) and two weeks off duty for ongoing case management. The base is in the Louth area — a rural setting in the Lincolnshire Wolds — with on-site free parking available.

This is a locum opportunity with Lincolnshire County Council, paying £17.79–£23.94 per hour via Prism, starting 19 August 2026.
