Job Description
Senior Social Worker required for Denbighshire County Council’s Children Services, working within the Pledge team on a locum basis based in Rhyl (LL18 3ND). This is a S.47-trained role delivering statutory social work to children and families, carrying a caseload of varied complexity, undertaking safeguarding investigations, risk assessments and Child Protection Case Conference reporting, and chairing meetings including Care and Support Plan reviews and Child Protection Core Groups. You will support and mentor Social Care Practitioners, work within the Wales Safeguarding Procedures 2019 and the Social Services and Wellbeing (Wales) Act 2014, and maintain accurate, timely case recording. Essential: a recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW), registration with Social Care Wales as a Social Worker, and experience with complex safeguarding cases.
