Job Description

Isle of Wight Council is seeking a Senior Social Worker to join their Children & Families service, covering support and protection casework. This is a capped-rate role based at County Hall, Newport, starting 28 September 2026, paying £31.50 – £42.00 per hour.

You will hold a qualified social work caseload focused on support and protection, working with children and families to safeguard welfare and promote positive outcomes. The role requires a recognised social work qualification and current Social Work England registration, along with solid post-qualification experience in children’s social care.
