Job Description

An exciting opportunity for an Advanced Social Worker to join Flintshire County Council, managing a varied caseload of children subject to Child Protection Plans, Public Law Outline processes and court proceedings. You will undertake comprehensive assessments of children and families, complete Section 47 enquiries and risk assessments, and develop and review plans that promote safety, stability and positive outcomes. The role involves building strong relationships with children and families to support sustainable change, working effectively with schools, health partners, police and other agencies, and preparing high-quality reports for conferences, reviews and court proceedings. Children’s voices must remain central to all decision-making throughout. Candidates must be a qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England (or equivalent), with strong experience of child protection and PLO work.
