Job Description
An experienced Childrens Advanced Practitioner is sought for Lincolnshire County Council, based at 46 Union Street, Grantham (NG31 6NZ), covering the South Kesteven West District including Grantham and the wider rural area towards the Nottinghamshire border. Free on-site parking is available.
This is a front-line safeguarding role carrying cases from referral through to closure, working across Child in Need, Child Protection, and Care Proceedings without a change of social worker. You will complete assessments of children and families where safeguarding concerns have been raised, support children subject to CIN and CP Plans, and compile assessments and reports for both private and public law court proceedings, including section 47 investigations.
The team operates a four-weekly duty rotation: one week on duty (office-based five days, picking up new referrals and initial visits) and two weeks off duty. The remaining week follows the standard rota pattern.
A minimum of three years post-qualifying experience in a permanent, front-line safeguarding role is essential. Social Work England registration is required.
Rate: £29.51–£40.00 per hour (via Prism). Start date: 24 August 2026.
If you hold the experience and want a varied, autonomous caseload in a supportive South Lincolnshire team, please get in touch today.
