Job Description

Semester Recruitment is seeking an experienced Childrens Advanced Practitioner for Middlesbrough Borough Council’s in-house Fostering Team, based at Middlesbrough House, TS1 2DA.

This is an urgent agency requirement following a number of staff departures from the fostering service. Two roles are available, commencing 1 September 2026 through to 30 November 2026, at a rate of £34.45 per hour.

You will support the in-house fostering team in attracting and approving foster carers, with the aim of reducing the need for children and young people to be placed in residential or out-of-area provision. This is a key service-need post sanctioned directly by the Service Director.

Applicants must hold a recognised social work qualification and be registered with Social Work England. Prior experience in fostering assessments and approval processes is essential.
