Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Childrens Advanced Practitioner to join a welcoming, supportive, and stable front-line team at Lincolnshire County Council, based in Louth, Lincolnshire.
This team works with children and families from the point of referral through Child in Need, Child Protection, and Care Proceedings. The team holds strong, well-established relationships with partner agencies including Family Help, Family Group Decision Making, and health services.
Key responsibilities include completing Child and Family Assessments, working collaboratively with partner agencies, and making enquiries with families to ensure children are being cared for safely. You will be expected to manage cases within the CIN and CP frameworks and hold experience of both private and public law proceedings.
The team operates on a three-weekly duty rota: one week on duty (office-based, with new case allocations) and two weeks off duty. The base in Louth is a rural setting in the Lincolnshire Wolds, with free on-site parking available.
The role is offered on a locum basis at a rate of £29.51–£40.00 per hour via Prism, commencing 19 August 2026. Candidates must hold a recognised social work qualification and be registered with Social Work England.
