Job Description
A motivated and resourceful Business Support Officer is sought to join the Admin Team for Adult Social Care in Wirral, based at 2 Alice Square, Birkenhead. This is a hybrid role offering the opportunity to provide high-quality administrative support to a competent, caring, and collaborative team.
You will play a vital part in the smooth running of Adult Social Care services, acting as a key point of contact for colleagues, professionals, outside agencies, and members of the public. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include responding to emails, minute taking, managing mailboxes, procurement of goods and services, and disseminating information across the service.
The role demands strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to handle challenging behaviour professionally. You will be expected to build effective working relationships, work flexibly as part of a team, and maintain a high standard of confidentiality at all times.
The ideal candidate will be well organised, attentive to detail, and capable of prioritising a varied workload to meet deadlines. A commitment to team working and the innovative delivery of excellent standards of work is essential.
