Job Description

Salford City Council (GM Collaboration) is seeking a qualified Mental Health Social Worker to join the Front Door team based at Salford Civic Centre, Swinton, M27 5DA.

Working within this front-line service, you will conduct visits and assessments in support of the contact team, playing a key role in early intervention and response for adults presenting with mental health needs.

This is a short-term locum engagement running from 24 August to 16 September 2026, paying £30 per hour. Hybrid working is available, with up to two days per week from home.

Applicants must hold a recognised social work qualification and be registered with Social Work England. Experience in adults’ mental health social work and front door or duty and assessment settings is essential.
