🌟 Neighbourhood Officer – Barnsley | Immediate Start | Office-Based 🌟

Are you passionate about making a difference in your local community? We’re looking for a proactive and people-focused Neighbourhood Officer to join our frontline team in Barnsley.

🔹 Start date: ASAP
🔹 Location: Office-based (Barnsley)
🔹 Contract: Full-time, Temporary
🔹 Ideal candidate: Immediately available and compliant

What you’ll be doing:

As a key part of our Neighbourhood Team, you’ll deliver a practical, visible, and reassuring presence in the community. This is your chance to support tenants, improve estates, and help build stronger, safer neighbourhoods.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering a high-quality housing and estate management service

  • Tackling tenancy breaches and anti-social behaviour

  • Supporting vulnerable tenants and promoting tenancy sustainment

  • Carrying out welcome visits, estate inspections, and community walkabouts

  • Working closely with partner agencies and community groups

  • Supporting community safety, cohesion, and environmental initiatives

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in housing management, community safety, or a related field

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

  • A genuine passion for working with communities

  • A proactive, flexible, and collaborative approach

  • Ability to travel locally and work independently

  • Knowledge of tenancy and estate management (desirable)

  • References required for the last 5 years of employment.
