👨‍👩‍👧 Social Worker – Connected People’s Team
📍 Keighley & Shipley (Bradford Children and Families Trust)
💼 3-Month Interim Contract | Hybrid Working (office attendance as required)

Semester Recruitment is working with Bradford Children and Families Trust, who are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Connected People’s Team, supporting work in the Keighley and Shipley area.

This role focuses on assessing and supporting family and friends carers, often under court direction, to ensure the safety, permanency, and wellbeing of children placed with known carers.

🔍 Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake connected persons assessments of relatives/friends caring for children

  • Complete timely and robust reports for court proceedings and SGO applications

  • Work within court timelines, supporting permanency planning and statutory processes

  • Travel for out-of-area assessments, including overnight stays where necessary

  • Contribute to promoting safe, stable care arrangements within the extended family network

✅ Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration

  • Experience with SGO assessments, court work, or connected/kinship care

  • Strong understanding of permanency options, risk assessment, and court-directed work

  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively with legal and social work teams

  • Flexibility to attend the office as required (hybrid working applies)


📅 Contract:
3-month interim role | Hybrid working (office presence required for some duties)
