About the Role
Trafford Council is seeking an experienced Level 3 Adults Social Worker to join their Adult Safeguarding Team. This is a vital role focused on protecting vulnerable adults and ensuring timely and effective safeguarding responses.

You’ll be responsible for leading on safeguarding enquiries, managing complex cases, and undertaking Section 42 enquiries in line with the Care Act 2014.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and respond to adult safeguarding concerns

  • Undertake Section 42 safeguarding enquiries

  • Work collaboratively with professionals across health and social care

  • Ensure person-centred, timely interventions that promote safety and independence

  • Maintain clear and accurate records in line with statutory responsibilities

Requirements

  • Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration

  • Significant experience in adult safeguarding and Section 42 enquiries

  • Strong assessment, communication, and decision-making skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
