Job Description

Deputy Team Manager – Fostering

Based in the Family Placement Unit and reporting to the Fostering Team Manager, Bolton has an opportunity for an agency worker to join the team.

The service recruits and assesses prospective foster carers, and supports, supervises and reviews approved foster carers.

Candidates must have experience of managing Supervising Social Workers and demonstrate understanding of legislation and practice of Family Placement.

Candidates should have knowledge of, but not limited to:

  • Recruitment, assessment support and training of potential foster carers.

  • implications of new guidance and legislation for the Department in the delivery of a family placement service

  • Knowledge and evidence of management

Full-time role-37 hours per week -Flexible working in place- balance between working from home/office to meet the needs of the service
