Job Description

Please be aware this is a Long Term Temporary post to start ASAP.

Children’s Assessment Team (CAT) responds to all new cases into Children’s Social Care, which requires an assessment or a child protection enquiry. The Team includes  four smaller teams (Pods)  Each Pod undertakes a week’s duty on a four-week rota and the Practice Manager is responsible for managing all work coming into the service.

All new cases coming into Children’s Social Care must be allocated to an appropriately qualified social worker within CAT, who undertakes single assessments, child protection enquiries, pre-birth risk assessments and potential cases escalating to care proceedings. These must be completed within prescribed timescales and to a high standard.
