Job Description

Please be aware this is a Long Term Temporary post to start ASAP.

MUST HAVE ADULT SAFEGAURDING EXP –

An agency social worker is required for our locality safeguarding team 37 hrs. . The successful candidate would need to be experienced in completing safeguarding inquiries involving abuse, neglect and exploitation for adults aged 18 years and over. The role would involve communicating with and collaborating with various agencies, such as the police, housing and health professionals. This would require the worker to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  

The ideal candidate will have a very good understanding of safeguarding and legal procedures, this Making Safeguarding Personal (MSP), Mental Capacity Act 2005 legislation and be knowledgeable in understanding Human Rights 1998 and the Care Act 2014. You will have strong social work values that lead your practice with people, helping them to achieve the best outcomes. 

The role will require the practitioner to work min three days in the office. 

The following is essential criteria:

– Degree in Social Work

– SWE Registration

– Right to work within the UK

You must have:

  • A professional qualification in social work

  • Social Work England registration.

  • Post qualified experience.

  • Enhanced DBS/Update service.

  • References required for the last 5 years of employment.
