Job Description

Please be aware this is a Long Term Temporary post to start ASAP.

The Practice Manager has a fundamental role in ensuring safeguarding contacts are responded to in a timely manner; they also provide advice, support and supervision of staff, attend and chair multi agency meetings, ensure the achievement of performance targets & arrange and chair strategy meetings 

Hybrid working , working 1 day a week from home

MAST Team 

The following is essential criteria:

– Degree in Social Work

– SWE Registration

– Right to work within the UK

This is an order for agency practice manager position in MAST

Role Purpose: Achieve the best possible positive outcomes for children and young people across the service by modelling, directing and supporting the work of the pod (where applicable) and the team through a collaborative and systemic approach to all work with children, young people and families.

Ensure that the priorities of the Council are carried forward. Be accountable for the quality of practice, setting standards and creating the conditions required for successful social work by motivating, nurturing and mentoring staff. Encouraging and promoting effective relationships and communication between individuals across the service and partner agencies.

Responsible for: 4 x Social Workers – Newly Qualified to Level 3 Responsible to: Looked After Children’s Team manager

You must have:

  • A professional qualification in social work

  • Social Work England registration.

  • Post qualified experience.

  • Enhanced DBS/Update service.

  • References required for the last 5 years of employment.
