Tyneside Council’s Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) has a strong reputation with Ofsted, and due to developments within the service the team is expanding creating opportunities for enthusiastic Early Help (MASH) Support Workers to join us. This posts would be suited to you if you have strong experience in an Early Help environment and you wish to contribute to the development of a rapidly changing service. Due to exciting developments within the MASH and thus expansion of the service, we are looking to recruit: • MASH Support Workers – office based, working within our Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub alongside partners from health, education, housing, Harbour, Youth Justice and Social Care, you will be part of multi-agency decision making around risk and work with families to mitigate and signpost them to appropriate support services. We are looking for candidates who are keen, enthusiastic and dynamic to support partner agencies and internal teams, to help deliver early help to challenging, often hard to reach families. Please be advised that this position will require an Enhanced check from the Disclosure & Barring Service. North Tyneside Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. In addition, staff and volunteers are expected to familiarise themselves with all relevant policies, procedures and guidance in relation to safeguarding children and safe practice with vulnerable adults. You must have:

  • A professional qualification in social work and experience of working with Children’s

  • Social Work England registration.

  • Post qualified experience.

  • Enhanced DBS/Update service.

  • References required for the last 5 years of employment.
