Senior Social Worker – Duty & Assessment (Team 2, Bradford South)

What you’ll do

  • Triage & assess new referrals (CIN, CP & S47) to decide next steps within statutory timescales.

  • Short-term intervention work—hold cases for up to 45 days before step-down or transfer.

  • Safeguarding & risk management using Signs of Safety and restorative practice.

  • Court work: Prepare statements & give evidence when required.

  • Multi-agency collaboration with police, health, education and Early Help partners.


What you’ll bring

  • Social Work England registration & enhanced DBS.

  • Recent frontline experience in Duty, Assessment, MASH or similar safeguarding team.

  • Confident report-writing, Section 47 and court skills.

  • Ability to juggle fast-moving priorities while keeping children’s voices central.
