Job Description

We are looking to recruit social workers to join our cared for children service.  We work with care experienced young people up until the age of 18 years when they transfer to our leaving care service.

You will have experience of working with care experienced young people and driving forward care and permanence plans in order to achieve the best possible outcomes for young people.

You will be part of a social work team consisting of a team manager, senior practitioner and 7 social workers.  You will receive monthly supervision and access to training offered by the local authority.

You will be part of a duty rota on a 4 weekly basis when you are on duty you will be office based

We offer a hybrid style of working with both home and office working; however there is an expectation that you will be in the office a minimum of 3 days per week

We are based in Ashton-under-Lyne and are co-located with colleagues from fostering, leaving care, youth justice and commissioning which supports with joint working.

Our core working hours are: Mon-Weds 8.30-5pm; Thursday 8.30-4.30pm; Friday 8.30-4pm.
