Job Description

An exciting opportunity for an experienced, registered Social Worker to join the Family Help district in Northfield, South Birmingham as Senior Practitioner. You will act as lead professional for children and families, completing needs-led Family Assessments and delivering multi-agency Family Help plans under Section 17 of the Children Act 1989, alongside holding Child in Need cases. Key duties include establishing ‘Team Around the Family’ arrangements, facilitating multi-agency Early Help and CIN meetings, offering Family Group Decision Making, and contributing to Strategy Meetings, Child Protection Conferences and MARAC. Working within a trauma-informed, relationship-based practice model (Connections Count), you will build sustained relationships with families and support them towards positive, sustainable outcomes. Candidates must be a registered Social Worker with Social Work England and have solid post-qualification experience in children’s social care, ideally within Family Help, Child in Need or Early Help settings.
