Job Description

An experienced Social Worker is sought to join Wirral MBC’s Adults Social Care service, supporting delivery of the Personalisation and Inclusion Pathways for adults and carers. Working within an integrated, multi-disciplinary team, you will undertake complex needs-led assessments, care and support planning and reviews, participate in duty and case triage within the Review Team, and contribute to MASH, MARAC and MAPPA safeguarding processes. Duties include Best Interest Assessments relating to Deprivation of Liberty, safeguarding enquiries under the Care Act 2014, chairing complex multi-disciplinary meetings, and providing supervision and practice support to ASYE/newly qualified social workers and Care Navigators. You must hold a recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England, with proven experience across statutory adult social care work including assessment, safeguarding and court work. A post-graduate qualification such as Best Interest Assessor or Practice Educator is desirable. This is a hybrid role requiring travel across the Borough.
