Job Description

A Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council (GM Collaboration) is seeking a qualified Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) to join the Dedicated AMHP Team based at Wilshaw Lane, Ashton-under-Lyne. This is a temporary role running from 14 September to 18 December 2026, paying £42 per hour.

The post is 36 hours per week, structured as 3 x 9-hour shifts from the AMHP Hub in Ashton-under-Lyne, with 9 hours working from home to complete reports. The role operates Monday to Friday during daytime hours.

Candidates must hold a current AMHP qualification and have a minimum of 2 years’ post-qualifying AMHP experience. Three years of current references are required, along with gaps in employment history checked and relevant qualifications as per the job description and person specification.
