Job Description
An exciting locum opportunity has arisen for a Senior Occupational Therapist within Bolton Council’s Independent Living Service, based in Daubhill, Bolton. This is a 3-month contract role running from 14 September to 31 December 2026, paying £22.13 per hour.
The Independent Living Service is a well-established team of 32 staff, comprising Occupational Therapists, Disability Officers, and Community Assessment Officers, and includes a Sensory Team and Telecare Team. You will undertake assessments and reviews of need under the Care Act 2014, providing advice on techniques, equipment, and adaptations, and linking individuals to universal and voluntary services. Interdisciplinary collaboration is central to the role, and you will support colleagues across other areas of the service as required.
