Job Description

Sheffield City Council is seeking an experienced Childrens Advanced Practitioner to join the Safeguarding Front Door team (MASH) in Sheffield city centre. This is a full-time post (37 hours per week), funded until 31 March 2027, paying £35 per hour.

Working within the MASH/Screening function, you will apply your frontline fieldwork expertise to triage and analyse multi-agency information, apply threshold judgements, undertake risk assessments, complete safety plans, and ensure vulnerable children receive the right service at the right time. Sheffield Children’s Services operates the Signs of Safety model and uses Liquid Logic as its social care case management system. Hybrid working arrangements are in place.

To be considered you must be registered with Social Work England and have significant prior experience working within a MASH or screening team environment, with the ability to work at pace and manage complex, high-volume referrals.
