Job Description

Salford City Council is seeking an experienced Mental Health Social Worker to join the Front Door team based at Salford Civic, Swinton (M27 5DA).

This is an interim role running from 28 September to 30 November 2026, paying £30 per hour. The successful candidate will conduct visits and assessments in direct support of the contact team, working at the front door of adult mental health services.

Hybrid working is available, with up to two days per week from home.

Candidates must hold a recognised social work qualification and be registered with Social Work England. Three years of references are required, and any gaps in employment history will be checked.
