Adults Care Management Assistant – Coordination and Review Team – #OR113222

August 26, 2026
£18 - £23 / hour

Job Description

Bromley Council is seeking experienced Social Care Practitioners (non-qualified) to join the Coordination and Review Team within Adult Social Care, based at Churchill Court, Bromley. Three locum posts are available at £18.03–£23.47 per hour, starting 5 October 2026.

Working under direction and guidance, you will carry out planned Care Act needs assessments and annual reviews for adults receiving council-funded support. Caseloads span residents in care homes, Shared Lives schemes, Extra Care Housing, and those receiving domiciliary care through Direct Payments or commissioned packages, including out-of-borough residential placements. Travel within and outside the borough is required.

Key responsibilities include completing timely and proportionate assessments and reviews, developing and monitoring support plans, undertaking Mental Capacity Assessments, contributing to Best Interest decision-making, identifying safeguarding risks, and maintaining accurate case records. You will work collaboratively with care providers, housing, and health professionals to ensure continuity of care.

Essential experience includes adult social care case management, strong working knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005, and confidence managing a complex caseload autonomously. A relevant health or social care qualification (NVQ or equivalent) is desirable but not essential at BR8 grade. Candidates progressing to BR9 will be expected to hold or be working towards NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.

This is a non-qualified social work role — QSW registration is not required. Apply now to be considered for this busy and rewarding locum opportunity.
