Job Description

Bromley Council is seeking a confident and experienced Childrens Senior Social Worker to join its Safeguarding team, based at Churchill Court, Bromley. This is a locum opportunity paying £29.79–£38.99 per hour via Prism, starting 31 August 2026.

You will manage a varied caseload spanning Child in Need, Child Protection, Public Law Outline, and care proceedings for children up to the age of 18. Strong experience of complex safeguarding and permanence cases, including Court proceedings, is essential.

Essential requirements:
• BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent recognised qualification — applications without will not be considered
• Current Social Work England registration
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Senior Practitioner
• Significant experience within Child Protection and Court proceedings teams
• Enhanced DBS check
