Job Description

Liverpool City Council is seeking a Reablement Assistant to join their Social Care service based in Liverpool, L6 1NE. This is a temporary role paying £14.93–£19.34 per hour, starting 24 August 2026, working Monday to Friday 9am–4pm.

Please note: this post is open to male applicants only.

You will work with adult service users to meet their physical, social, and emotional needs as set out in individual care plans, promoting independence and enhancing daily living skills. Key responsibilities include assisting service users with tasks outlined in support plans, working alongside allied health and social care professionals to minimise risk and support people to remain in their own homes, contributing to assessments and reviews, maintaining accurate records, and attending regular supervision.

Applicants must hold an up-to-date classroom-based Manual Handling certificate (online certificates are not accepted). You will be committed to person-centred, anti-discriminatory practice, upholding the dignity, independence, and cultural and spiritual needs of those you support.
