Job Description

Bury Council (GM Collaboration) is seeking a qualified Children’s Social Worker to join the Family Safeguarding Court/CP Team, based at 3 Knowsley Place, Duke Street, Bury, BL9 0EJ.

This is a locum role paying £38 per hour, starting 24 August 2026. The team works with families subject to court proceedings and child protection processes, requiring a social worker with solid experience in CP and court work.

Candidates must have 5 years of referenced employment history with all gaps checked, and hold relevant qualifications as per the job description and person specification. DfE Recommendation Compliance Questions must be completed on the Details tab and the file attached to the candidate record prior to submission — applications that do not pass these questions will not progress.
