Job Description

Birmingham Children’s Trust is seeking a dedicated Childrens Senior Social Worker to join their team in Aston, Birmingham (B6 4DU). Rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted following a 2023 inspection, the Trust is committed to innovation and excellence in social work practice across Birmingham.

In this hybrid role you will safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people, working closely with families, carers, and professionals across health, education, police, and voluntary organisations. You will assess needs, develop care plans, and provide ongoing support — building robust partnerships to ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive in a safe, nurturing environment.

The Trust is particularly recognised for the quality of staff leadership, partnership working, safeguarding, and corporate parenting.

To be considered you will need:
– A degree in Social Work and registration with Social Work England (SWE)
– Experience working with children and families in a social work setting
– Strong assessment and analytical skills
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

The role offers free on-site parking and a flexible hybrid working model. Candidates must reside within a commutable distance of Birmingham and hold the right to work in the UK — sponsorship is not available.
