£46 - £46 / hour

Job Description

Oldham Council is seeking an experienced Childrens Team Manager to lead within its Complex Safeguarding Hub, based in Oldham town centre (OL1 1HD). This is a temporary role running from 24 August 2026 to 31 January 2027, paying £46 per hour.

You will manage a busy team of social workers delivering effective services to children and young people experiencing or at risk of exploitation. Your responsibilities will span team management, supervision, and the professional development of your staff, ensuring quality interventions that genuinely meet children’s needs. You will work closely with partners from Greater Manchester Police and Health, operating within a complex safeguarding context.

Oldham is committed to systemic practice, with a strong emphasis on relationship-based working with children and families and reflective learning at all levels. Full training in this model will be provided.

Suppliers must complete the DfE Recommendation Compliance Questions and attach the completed file to the candidate record prior to submission — applications without this will not progress.
