Job Description

Liverpool City Council is seeking a Senior Residential Support Worker for a temporary placement at Millvina House and Brushwood Dementia Nursing Home, Anfield, Liverpool (L5 1UW). The rate is £17.00–£22.09 per hour, starting 3 August 2026.

This role sits within Adult Services and Health, supporting the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager with the day-to-day running of a CQC-registered dementia nursing home. You will lead a team of Residential Support Workers, hold direct supervisory responsibility, oversee care plan implementation, assist with rotas and annual leave, and administer medication as required. The post covers a 7-day rota with both day shifts (8am–8pm) and night shifts (8pm–8am).

Key responsibilities include supervising and appraising staff, participating in multidisciplinary team meetings, supporting admissions and discharges, reviewing non-clinical care plans, and liaising with external agencies to ensure safe, effective care for residents.

The desirable qualification is an NVQ Level 3 in Social Care. Essential experience includes working in a social care setting, a willingness to supervise staff, handling complex cases, contributing to care plans, and medication management. An Enhanced DBS check (Adult Workforce and Adult Barred List) is required.
