Job Description
Bury Council (GM Collaboration) is recruiting a Children’s Social Worker for its MASH (Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub) team, based at 3 Knowsley Place, Duke Street, Bury (BL9 0EJ). This is a contract role running from 24 August to 30 November 2026, paying £35 per hour.
The role is initially office-based during a four-week induction period, after which hybrid working is available — up to two days per week from home.
Candidates must have a recognised social work qualification and be registered with Social Work England. Vetting requirements include a five-year reference history and checks on any gaps in employment. The DfE Recommendation Compliance Questions must be completed prior to submission; applications that do not meet these requirements will not be progressed.
