Job Description

An experienced Adults Social Worker is required for the Adult Social Care Triage Team at the London Borough of Bexley, based at the Civic Offices in Bexleyheath, DA6 7AT. This is a full-time locum role offering £32.00–£43.63 per hour, starting 10 August 2026.

Working at the front door of adult social care within an integrated health and social care team, you will carry out telephone triage, safeguarding enquiries, Mental Capacity assessments, and duty rota responsibilities. The role demands the ability to act swiftly in a crisis, complete dynamic risk assessments, and engage effectively with a fast-paced multidisciplinary team that includes Social Care Assistants, Occupational Therapists, Nurses, and Physiotherapists.

Completion of the ASYE is preferable. The working week is 36 hours, with opportunities for hybrid working including work from home and other locations.
