July 23, 2026
£23 - £32 / hour

Job Description

Haringey is recruiting motivated and ambitious qualified social workers to join its Mental Health service, based at St Ann’s Hospital (N15) and/or Station Road, Wood Green. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to adults experiencing mental ill health across the borough.

You will work within the Mental Health Trust alongside a wider multi-disciplinary team, or within the Council’s Mental Health Service, undertaking Care Act assessments, annual statutory reviews, and supporting residents into more independent living. A strengths-based, outcome-focused approach is central to the role.

Key responsibilities include managing a caseload of varied complexity, working with service users and carers in times of crisis, and applying working knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Health Act 1983, and Mental Capacity Act 2005. You will maintain links with professionals across sectors and uphold principles of non-discriminatory, equality-focused practice.

The successful candidate will hold a recognised Social Work qualification, be registered with Social Work England, and have at least 2 years’ post-qualification experience working with adults with mental ill health. Strong assessment skills, professionalism, and a commitment to continued learning and development are essential.

Rate: £23.35–£32.00 per hour (via Prism). Start date: 3 August 2026. Enhanced DBS required.
