Job Description

Conwy County Borough Council is seeking an experienced Business Support Officer – Data to join the Records and Data Team within Business Support & Transformation, based at Coed Pella, Colwyn Bay (LL29 7AZ).

This is a part-time, fixed-term role of 22.5 hours per week until 31st March 2027, paying £13.05–£16.88 per hour. Hybrid working is available following induction and training.

You will provide referral screening and administrative support to Family & Children’s Services, acting as the first point of contact for incoming referrals to Children’s Services. Key responsibilities include screening, recording and prioritising referrals; maintaining electronic systems, databases and spreadsheets; producing reports and statistical information; handling Freedom of Information enquiries; and providing administrative support to managers and professionals across social care and education services.

Candidates must hold 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including English, demonstrate strong IT skills across Microsoft Office, and have excellent organisational, communication and record-keeping abilities. Emotional resilience and the ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information accurately under pressure are essential.
