Job Description

An experienced Adults Social Worker is required for the Adult Social Care Triage Team at the London Borough of Bexley, based at the Civic Offices in Bexleyheath (DA6 7AT). The role offers hybrid working, with a 36-hour working week, paying between £24.38 and £33.11 per hour via Prism. Start date is 10 August 2026.

This is a front-door adult social care role within an integrated health and social care team, working alongside Social Care Assistants, Occupational Therapists, Nurses, and Physiotherapists. Day-to-day responsibilities include telephone triage, duty rota working, care assessments, Mental Capacity assessments, and responding to safeguarding concerns and enquiries.

The successful candidate will be a qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England, with demonstrated ability to act decisively in crisis situations and complete dynamic risk assessments. Completion of the ASYE is preferable. Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach are essential in this fast-paced, dynamic team.
